Volunteers for Sustainable Development in Africa (VOSIEDA WEST AFRICA) is a network of development professionals and a nonprofit organization created in Liberia in 2001 in response to increasing development challenges in West Africa. It promotes prosperity, reduces extreme poverty, boosts economic opportunity, and sustains natural resources. Over the past 20 years, the organization has established itself as an essential platform for development, peace, and stability in Liberia and West Africa Mano River Basin.
The Embassy of Sweden approved a grant of 1.8 million USD for VOSIEDA to implement a three-year project titled: Building Community Resilience to Climate Impacts through Climate Smart Small-Scale Farming.
The project aims to facilitate climate-smart agriculture techniques to empower smallholder farmers, mainly women, and youths, to employ sustainable and regenerative farming practices in Nimba County, Northern Liberia. The overall project goal is to strengthen rural communities’ resilience to climate change impact through small-scale agricultural practices that promote increased and sustainable products and reduce agriculture sector GHG emissions.
In support of clean energy, VOSIEDA is shifting from using diesel fuel to solar energy as a more environmentally friendly energy source.
DESCRIPTION OF CONCERNED ACTIVITIES
The purpose of this RFQ is to invite prospective offers to submit quotations “FOR INSTALLATION OF SOLAR ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE” for the VOSIEDA Central Office in Monrovia. We invite firms to assess the office facility to inform them of their decision while developing their bids.
ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVES.
Provide a proposal including a list of material, costs, and installation service fees inclusive of taxes based on the needs assessment.
Provide information on how long it will take to complete the installation of Solar Infrastructure.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS – IMPORTANT NOTICE
To be considered, the firm must include in its response the following:
Cost proposal stating the types and cost of solar materials, and professional service fees including taxes.
The Company profile and Business Registration document.
Proof that the company has satisfactorily performed similar services for other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) or companies in Liberia in the last three (3) years.
Technical license/qualification of project lead engineer
